Who We are

We are are a LTD and "not for profit" Pre-School, who offer day care for the surrounding community. We are open term time only between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday.

We accept 15hours weekly funding for 2 and 3 year olds, and the extended 30 hours for elligable 3 year olds.  More information can be obtained from www.lancashire.gov.uk.  Fees can also be paid through www.childcarechoices.gov.uk.

We are OFSTED inspected. Copies of the inspection are available to download from the OFSTED website. We provide a high quality Early Year Foundation Stage Curriculum to ensure we meet the National Standards for children's day care. The registered person for Kirkham Pre-School Ltd is Louise Kelso and the Deputy is Marybeth Duckworth.

Staff Details

All staff and volunteers are DBS checked. All staff undertake a first aid, health and safety, food hygiene, child protection and safeguarding course as soon as possible when they join the team and are regularly updated. Helping us in the Pre-school may be persons from outside agencies, i.e. PIP volunteers who help with the children who have additional needs. Occasionally we may take children/mature students from schools, colleges and other training agencies, these people are NOT LEFT ALONE with the children.

Louise Kelso:              Manager. NNEB Diploma, Specialised teaching assistant and holds a

                                    Foundation Degree in Early Years and Childcare support. Louise also

                                    has a BA Honours Degree in the early years and is an early years

                                    teacher.

Marybeth Duckworth:           Deputy Manager, NVQ level 3 in childcare

Claire Moss:                         NVQ Level 3 in childcare

Kerryanne Cartmell:             NVQ level 3 in childcare

Mandy Cartmell:                   NVQ level 3 in Childcare
